   The Gibson Road Antique Fire Association began in 1992, the product of two years of dreams and ideas. It is named in remembrance of Captain Thomas Gibson, Jr. a young firefighter who lost his life in the line of duty in 1985. Gibson Road is also the name of the street on which our first and current president lives. This street itself was named after Thomas Gibson, Jr.

   Initially we began with 17 members, since then we have grown to 138, including individuals, families and fire companies. Our group is family oriented with activities for all. Just a few of our activities include an annual muster, picnic with our own mini-muster, Christmas party, parades and community events. Meetings are held on the third Thursday of every other month beginning in January.

   If you have an interest in the early days of firefighting, and meeting with others that share the same interest, please come to a meeting, join the club for a year and we know you'll be "hooked". Apparatus ownership is not a requirement, GRAFA not only stands for Gibson Road Antique Fire Association, but also Great Recreation And Friendships Abound!!!
